about

Atelier Lalot is a bespoke styling and design studio working across residential, commercial, events and editorial projects. In addition, we offer floristry, soft furnishings, ceramics and sourcing; bringing together creativity, craft and a love of objects to create tactile and timeless spaces. Founder Charlotte Dubery is an interior stylist and designer who places the personal experience at the centre of her practice, her intention being to create spaces that invite a sense of calm, wellbeing and comfort.

Charlotte’s aesthetic is warm, organic, sophisticated and sensual. She favours materials from the earth such as wood, marble, stone, clay and linen; materials that have natural imperfections and capture living history. Having travelled extensively with work, her style has inherited a strong European influence and she draws on a tapestry of inspiration from the continent; the hand-painted ceramics of Hungary, the vibrant tiles of Portugal, the warm wooden comfort of Norwegian homes, the raw materials of Spanish villages. These cultural immersions have given her an aptitude to create spaces that, whilst honouring the necessities of day to day life, embody both a French laissez-faire attitude and a Scandinavian minimalism, elevating the ordinary into something extraordinary.

Working alongside some of the UK’s most celebrated interior stylists (Hannah Deacon, Sally Cullen, Diane Civil, Marie Nichols), she has assisted on shoots for editorial (House Beautiful, Country Living, Ideal Home, You Magazine) and commercial works (Sanderson, The White Company, John Lewis, Pooky Lights, Cuisinart, Airwick) as well as carving a path in residential interior design, working with clients to breathe new life into their homes. I also worked for a time as a florist for the world-renowned Petersham Nurseries; dressing the restaurants weekly for their service and events.
